This time we are going to talk about the third stage of the Tuckman model of team development: norming.<\/p><p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijnevandenkieboom.com\/uncategorized\/fase-1-van-teamontwikkeling-vorming-een-positieve-start\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first stage of team development<\/a> people come together in a team for the first time. They have yet to get to know each other and are defining their positions in relation to each other.<\/p><p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijnevandenkieboom.com\/uncategorized\/fase-2-van-teamontwikkeling-storming-conflicten-en-teleurstellingen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">second stage storming<\/a>\u00a0the team wants to know what they will be doing and how they will be doing this. Your team came out of the conflicts stronger.<\/p><p>New rules have emerged that everyone agrees with. As a manager, you focus on reinforcing positive behaviour and encouraging and adhering to the team's norms.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7fa4ad0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7fa4ad0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Facilitating processes and procedures of team culture as a manager<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3519262 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"3519262\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-15fe7a3 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"15fe7a3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As with situational leadership, you wil as a leader come into the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> stage: coaching. The team needs your day-to-day leadership less and less. Let it be known that you are proud of your team and radiate confidence in their abilities. Also when it comes to their self-solving ability. You only create the bed for the river to flow.<\/p><p>You'll need to stay sharp as a leader that your team members remain open to people outside their own team. The tendency is to be strongly focused on each other while excluding the outside world. Newcomers to the team in this norming phase may find it difficult to connect.
